For your consideration today is a stunning crosley table top 5 tube radio. This is one of their very popular models and is in high demand from the collectors. Model 56tc made in 1945 features the horizontal wrap around grill and a built in “loop” antenna for excellent reception. The cabinet which i just finished is absolutely beautiful and is solid with tight very colorful grained veneer. The photo’s are part of the description so please look at them closely. I have installed a new dial lamp, new grill cloth, new ac power cord, new dial cover/lens, new filter and wax capacitors, cleaned the chassis, lubed and adjusted all moving parts, tested all of the tubes, resistors, and remaining components. Any weak or questionable were tossed ! The knobs are original and work just fine. Size: 13″ long x 8″ tall x 6 deep. Definitely my favorite of the crosley radio’s and certainly would qualify for any collection or your special place at the office or home. This radio is an excellent player and the voice is clear with a strong projection.
